Acid reflux is a common condition that causes uncomfortable discomfort when standing up. Symptoms of acid reflux may include tiredness, stiffness, and a persistent urge to urinate.

In fact, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Heart Association have put forward a proposed guideline on the use of Nexium, a medication used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

The guideline goes along the following steps to help you decide which medication is best to take:

  • The recommended starting dose is one 20 mg tablet taken three times a day for seven days
  • It is recommended that Nexium be taken as needed for at least one week after eating a meal
  • You should not take more than one tablet in the last three days of treatment

If you are unsure which medication to take, you can take Nexium by mouth. The recommended starting dose is one 20 mg tablet taken three times a day for seven days.

It is best to take Nexium for at least one week after eating a meal. This will help to reduce stomach acid production and allow Nexium to work properly.

Nexium can also be taken as needed in some cases. It is important to take the medication at the same time each day, with the same amount of fluid on top of it. If you take Nexium for more than a week, the medication may not work as well.

You should not take Nexium for more than one week if you have any symptoms of heartburn or acid reflux (heartburn).

If you have any questions about the Nexium guideline or you think it is medically appropriate for you to take Nexium, please contact us at.
